Meet the founder

David J. Chavez is the founder of Elevate Communications Group, a strategic communications consultancy focused on helping organizations build trust, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and communicate with confidence.

With more than 19 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, media relations, digital strategy, and community engagement, David has led communications efforts for complex initiatives requiring clear messaging, public trust, and stakeholder alignment.

His experience includes crisis communications, community engagement, executive communications, strategic planning, digital communications, and large-scale public information campaigns, including communications leadership supporting a successful multi-million dollar referendum. 

David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a minor in Psychology and has completed advanced graduate-level coursework in marketing, economics, and business strategy.

Through Elevate Communications Group, David helps school districts, private schools, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations strengthen their communications systems, improve engagement, and navigate complex communication challenges.
